Answer
MX record is identify mail server of DNS... Preference value means priority ... for example in your DNS have multiple mail server means we need to specify the priority value...
Lowest preference value is considered as high priority.
Both mail server have same preference value means the response will be random.
Suppose mail server1 is failed and the response will check next level preference value until the mail server1 state to stable.

How to assign preference value in MX record
hello..,
i configured DNS on my centos .. in zone file they MX value assigned as 10. exactly what is that preference value and how it will works..?
