Sendmail

Sendmail is a service used for communication purposes and offers connection to local hosts.Inorder to make a connection with some other hosts rather than the local hosts, the users need to edit the file called /etc/mail/sendmail.mc. It allows email transfer with the help of a protocol known as SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).It is highly configurable and it is often used as an MTA, since because of its scalability and power.
