Auditd

auditd is an access monitoring and accounting daemon for Linux. Auditd is a component of Linux Auditing System and is responsible for making audit record copies to the disk. It uses ausearch or aureport utilities to view the logs. auditctl performs the configuration of the audit rules. The configuration options present in auditd can be customized by the user and are found in the auditd.conf file. View the log file with information on remote user and computer name that accessed your shared folders and files, the accessed file's name and path, date and type of the access.
