A HTTP Proxy is a security feature which acts in between HTTP server and a client.  The HTTP Proxy routes the HTTP client requests from a browser to the internet as it also supports the caching of Internet data.It also acts as a buffer between your Web server and potentially harmful Web clients by enforcing HTTP RFC compliance and preventing potential buffer overflow attacks.
