MX record

MX record stands for Mail eXchanger specifies mail servers, which record the email messages of a recipient’s domain. It has a preference value to prioritize the mail when multiple mail servers are available. If more than one MX record is applied for any one domain name then it can use multiple mail servers. The prioritizing process enables the user to back-up the mail server. The main objective of the MX record of the DNS is to specify the email that routed with the SMTP.
