dnssec-keygen command will use /dev/random in default it is a bit slow key generation for some type of systems, so we need to use /dev/urandom in order to generate a dnssec keys. So try to run the command as shown in below
dnssec-keygen -r /dev/urandom -a HMAC-MD5 -b 512 -n HOST ns1.mydomain.com

Cannot Generate dnssec keys
Hi there, i am trying to generate a dnssec key using dnssec-keygen command for my host, but the command does' nt give any output and it' s keep running and running. It is not seems like it is hanging, when i terminate the command (Ctrl + c) it' s got terminated and there is no key is generated. You can refer the below command was i used for generating dnssec key
