DNSSEC, expanded as Domain Name System Security Extensions, is a standard of protocols which gives an additional security to the DNS. DNSSEC is a set of suite of IETF specifications for the security of information provided through DNS. Although DNSSEC doesn’t complete immunity to data when it comes to distribution and access, its extensions can be used for authentication purposes when a data is sent from a DNS server, verify the integrity of data and authenticate nonexistent DNS data.
