Google Says its Chromebooks Will Soon be Linux Ready

Google made a major announcement recently by stating that its Chromebooks is going to support Linux in the future.

It is already known that some of Linux apps are functional on Chromebook, but the recent announcement from Google means that all Chromebooks that launch from this point forward will be fully functional Linux laptops, regardless of whether they are ARM or Intel devices.

At Google I/O, the company said: "all devices launched this year will be Linux-ready right out of the box". This is great news for people who want to purchase a laptop at an affordable price.

It is to be noted that there isn't any indication that Chromebook may come pre-installed with Linux based OS, but being Linux-ready should mean that it is easier than ever to run a different operating system.
