Teamviewer is an open source application to connect to any remote desktop around the world. TeamViewer is a remote access application that grants you access to other computer and allows you to work on it. It is widely used for remote control, desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers. It is also possible to access a machine running TeamViewer with a web browser.
Installing Teamviewer &ndash 13.1
Let' s first start with updating the system repository package as follows.
root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get update

Then we are going to install gdebi.
gdebi is a simple tool to install deb files. It lets you install local deb packages resolving and installing its dependencies.

After installing gdebi we are going to download the team viewer latest version from its official site from the terminal using wget command.

Then let' s install the team viewer using the gdebi command.

Now the teamviewer has been installed and to open the application goto ubuntu dashboard and search team viewer.
The application is launched and you will see the ID and password of your machine which can be used to take control of your machine from other computers and in order to access other computers, you need to enter the partner id of that machine to access either the remote control or else make file transfer.
You can verify the version by navigating to the help menu and check about team viewer option.
