OpenNMS, expanded as Open Network Management System is an open source network management platform. OpenNMS is capable of managing thousands of devices from a single server. It can also manage those devices by using a cluster of servers.  OpenNMS includes a discovery engine to automatically configure and manage network devices without operator intervention.  OpenNMS is developed using Java and is published under the GNU General Public License.
