So there must be icmp protocol rejected from IPtables rule. Check with that or Flush the IPtables rule and try pinging.

site working but not pinging
Here my site is accessible and working in browser and all. But cant able to ping. I have wrote a script to check for the site is up or not. in that i have used ping command. It says that site is down, but actually it works perfectly. Where will be the issue be...???
