Follow the steps to reset root password...
- Once GRUB window appears, press up-arrow or down-arrow keys to select boot.
- Press 'a' to enter modify kernel arguments.
- There you can see rhgb quiet line, type 1 at last and hit enter.
- It boots in a single user mode.
- One logged in, change the password using passwd command.
