Host

The Host computer can be a client, server, or any other type of computer. A host has the ability to share information, services and applications to the users or nodes connected to the network. A host or local number is assigned to the host device, and that along with the network number is termed as the host’s unique IP address. It is also called as the host name, but naming the hostname depends on the kind of protocol to which the host is assigned.
