CUPS

Computers that has CUPS in it is entitled to accept print jobs from any client computer.  They process the information and sent it to the appropriate printers. CUPS have two main components in the form of a print spooler and scheduler. They convert the print data into a printer readable format. It also has a backend system which injects this data to the print device.  CUPS makes use of the Internet Printing Protocol for the management of printing undertaken through it.
