Startup Scripts
There are six major startup scripts that run when a Linux machine is booted. The BIOS which performs integrity checks, MBR which loads and executes the GRUB boot loader, GRUB - which loads the default Linux kernel image, the kernel which executes /sbin/init program, Init – the initial program that runs when a Linux machine is started and Run-level programs.
