Configuration Management

Configuration Management refers to detailed recording and updating of information regarding the hardware and software of a computer. The information regarding the versions and updates for the software installed are to be managed efficiently, and also the location and network addresses also needed to be tracked. A configuration management tool can keep track of all this and can be efficiently used for managing the configuration.
