Trouble installing deb file onto chromebook using linux

Hi, I am currently attempting to install minecraft onto my chromebook. I have followed the steps in the article linked below: https://hmguide.info/how-to-install-minecraft-on-your-chromebook-in-less-than-5-minutes/

I am at the final point where i have minecraft launcher as a deb. file in my linus folder, however when i select the option to install app with linux (beta), it starts in 0% installing then gives me the error message "An error occurred during the installation of your linux application". I cannot find anyone thats had the same issue online so any help would be much appreciated.
