Any user who hasn’ t learned to touch Linux can use Linux Mint 18.2 with ease. It contains the windows, icons, menus, pointers interface that is simple with clean appearance. The Cinnamon interface is an added bonus to the user and it has many speed improvements. It contains splitting the settings daemon and the Nemo file manager into multiple processes. The GNOME’ s JavaScript binding for improved performance and memory usage.

The Mint has also changed to Light Display Manager (LightDM). It also supports remote and guest sessions. And there are a score of interface’ s themes, applets and extensions.

Mint 18.2 comes with Linux-firmware 1.157.10 and the 4.8.0-53 Linux kernel. Also comes with LibreOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird, and GIMP. It runs pretty well on x86 hardware and provides decent security for the users.
