Mozilla’s ‘Firefox Focus’ finds its way into Android

3181

Not less than a year ago, Mozilla, in one of its major releases, came out with iOS version of Firefox Focus, and now Team Mozilla has decided to launch its Android version as well. Firefox Focus has the fame as one of the secure and private browsers available as it blocks the ad trackers by default and also erase the browsing history, thus ensuring its users of more privacy options.

The Android version has got a mild face lift as it comes with few added functionality as the iOS’ Firefox Focus is built with minimalistic features. Tracker counter, a utility which the iOS version lacks is available for Android, and it informs the users of just how many ads are being blocked by Firefox Focus. You can also disable the Ad Tracker if you wish. Interestingly, blocking of ads makes the browser faster and also consumes less data. For added privacy, users can quickly erase any passwords or cookies along with their browser history.

Also, for Android users, when used in the background, the browsers send a notification to its users so that they can erase their browser history. Android’ s Firefox Focus can also be set as the default browser, a feature that the iOS version lacks.
