‘Gnosticplayers’ hacker returns with fifth dataset containing over 65 million user accounts for sale
It was only recently when ‘Gnosticplayers’ hacker made a sneaky web attack a few weeks ago, stealing many online data, and now he is back with the fifth round of stolen data and has put 65 million user accounts on sale on the dark web forum.
If we add the fifth round of sale, the hacker has now put on sale a batch of 932 million records on the Dream Market underground marketplace so far.
‘Gnosticplayers’ started his data theft first with 620 million accounts stolen from 16 top websites including Dubsmash, Armor Games, 500px, Whitepages, ShareThis and more.
After that, he managed to put 127 million records coming from eight companies. The third round contained more than 92 million hacked users’ accounts from eight new websites.
In the fourth batch, the hacker had offered 26 million new accounts stolen from 6 companies such as Youthmanual, GameSalad, Bukalapak, Lifebear, EstanteVirtual, and Coubic.
Now, in his fifth round of sale, his major victims were new companies which include Mindjolt a gaming platform, Wanelo an online community for shopping, iCracked the Apple repair center, Yanolja a travel company, Evite an e-invitations service and Moda Operandi a women’s fashion store.
According to ZDNet, the hacked data is being sold for 0.8463 Bitcoin ($4,350) on the DreamMarket forum.
