In the previous article we came to know How to install Issabel PBX In this article, we see how to create data backup and it can be restored in issabel.

Create Data Backup

Open the issabel dashboard and choose the Backup/Restore option 1

Click " New Backup" to Process a backup 2 Choose the options listed below to take backup and then click " Process" 3 4 Once the backup is made, view the file by reloading the page. You' ll find the tar file as shown in the image. Download it for future use. 5 6

To Restore a file

If you want to restore your backup, click the Restore option. 7 With this the method to install issabel comes to an end.

How to Restore a Backup from a Local File?

You can upload a backup file from your local computer if you have it stored on the same computer you are using to log into Issabel



In the Restore section of the Backup & Restore module, click the Browse button.

Select a file from your local computer.



Click the Restore button to begin the restore process. You will be taken to a page where you can select which items to restore.



Use the checkboxes to select which items you would like to restore, then click the Restore button.

Where is Storage Location of backup File in Issabel?

A

Storage locations are servers that have been set up to store the actual backup on. By default, we include the local server as a storage location.

Local Storage: The backup tarball file is stored in "/var/spool/asterisk/backup/(backupjobname)/*.tgz" on the local machine.
