Installation procedure
To start, download the skype beta version for Ubuntu 16.04 from its official site, the link is given below.

After downloading, add the skype package into repository by executing dpkg command.
root@linuxhelpubnt:/home/user1/Desktop# dpkg -i skypeforlinux-64.deb

After entering the repository, install the skype package with the help of following command.
root@linuxhelpubnt:/home/user1/Desktop# apt-get install -f
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 175 not upgraded.
Now launch Skype from command prompt.
root@linuxhelpubnt:/home/user1# skypeforlinux
The Skype 5.0 beta is launched successfully login or create account to access Skype.
