To install Shotwell &ndash 0.28.1 on Linuxmint &ndash 18.03
Shotwell is an open source and default digital photo manager. You can import all your photos directly from your disk or camera. image organizer designed to provide personal photo management for the GNOME desktop environment. It is so simple to install Shotwell &ndash 0.28.1 on Linuxmint &ndash 18.03 and this tutorial cover the ground on the same process.

Installation

First, let' s start a new repository to install Shotwell application.

linuxhelp ~ # add-apt-repository ppa:yg-jensge/shotwell
You are about to add the following PPA:
 This PPA contains packages for the stable Shotwell releases.

You can file bugs against Shotwell from this PPA using the upstream GNOME bug tracker at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Shotwell

If you want to try the current development version of Shotwell, you can use the unstable PPA at https://launchpad.net/~yg-jensge/+archive/ubuntu/shotwell-unstable

After adding the repository we need to update the system repository as follows.
