To Install Qmmp in Ubuntu

Qmmp is an open source multimedia player, which is written in Qt. It is similar to Winamp audio player. The Qmmp supports several multimedia file formats like MPEG1 layer 2/3, Native FLAC/Ogg FLAC, WavePack, WMA, etc. This article explains the installation of Qmmp in Ubuntu.

Installation of Qmmp

First you need to add the required repository by using the below command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:forkotov02/ppa
Releases of Qt-based multimedia player (Qmmp)

Installation:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:forkotov02/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qmmp qmmp-plugin-pack

Qt4-based version (for Ubuntu 16.04 or higher):
sudo apt-get install qmmp-qt4 qmmp-plugin-pack-qt4

To Uninstall Qmmp player

Utilize the following command to remove the Qmmp player.
