To install qBittorrent on ubuntu 17.04

qBittorrent is a torrent client, similar to µ Torrent, which was recently ported to the Linux systems. Among others, qBittorrent has built-in search engine for searching in the popular BitTorrent sites, has torrent queueing and prioritizing features, has IP Filtering options, provides a tool for creating torrents and bandwidth limitations. It is available for Linux,Microsoft Windows and macOS. It is very simple to install qBittorrent, and this article covers the ground on the same process.

Installing qBittorrent

Before you begin with the installation process, it is very essential to add the necessary repositories in your system. For that, you need to run the following command.

root@linuxhelp:~# add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable

After that, you ought to update the newly added repository. Run the following command for the same purpose.

You can now install the qBittorent package. Trigger its installation by running the following command.

Once the installation is complete, you can launch the qBittorrent application from your Ubuntu dash board. Go to the search field and type qbit, the application icons appears on your screen. Click on icon to open it.

Once the application appears on your screen, you can view all the options available in it on the left panel.
