How to install Qbit-torrent 3.3.11 on Ubuntu 16.04

The qbittorrent is a fork of bittorrent client application which is the alternative of utorrent. It supports major platforms like Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Ubuntu. This tutorial explains the installation process of qbittorent.

Installation procedure

To install the qbittorrent, add the Qbit-torrent package into repository via ppa and run the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:/home/user1# add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable

Now the package is installed. Update the machine by entering the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:/home/user1# apt-get update

Now install the qbittorrent package by running the command.

root@linuxhelp1:/home/user1# apt-get install qbittorrent

The installation is complete. To open search the Qbit-torrent from Ubuntu dashboard and open it.

Now you search and download the files through this application.
