To Install Proxmox VE in Linux
Proxmox virtual environment is a free server virtualization platform which is based on debian64 bit based hypervisor. It supports virtualisation with KVM and OpenVZ through the Proxmox web interface. Installation of proxmox is explained in this article.
Download the proxmox VE(Virtual Environment) file from the following link,
https://www.proxmox.com/en/downloads
Boot the ISO image using USD or DVD disc and select install proxmox VE.
In the end user license agreement, click Agree to proceed next step
Select the target disk to install Proxmox and give Next.
Select the country name, verify the timezone and keyboard layout.
Enter the user credentials and valid email ID. Click Next.
In the network configuration, Enter the FQDN for the host and give the IP address, gateway, DNS and finally click Next
We have successfully installed Proxmox, now reboot the system.
After rebooting the system, the following window appears.
Open the browser and navigate to https://< IP_address> :8006
Once URL is entered you will get a certificate error, Advanced----> Add Exception---> Confirm Security Excepion
Enter the username as “ root” and password (administrative password)
Now you can start create VM or create CT.
