To install Hiri eMail Client on Ubuntu 16.04

Hiri email client is an a cross-platform mail application which can integrate several email clients such as Microsoft Exchange servers, Office 365, Outlook.com, Live, and Hotmail with it. Hiri is written in Python. It is to be noted that Hiri eMail Client is not a free application as it offers only 14 days of trial period after which you need to subscribe to use it. Installing Hiri on the latest Ubuntu operating system is very easy and this article sheds light on that process.

Installing Hiri eMail Client

If you want to download the Hiri package, you need to take it from its official website. So, use wget command with the official download link as follows.

Once it is downloaded, you need to extract the package as follows.

After that, change the directory to hiri_1.2.1.0.

From the extracted package, you can open hiri by running the following command.

root@example:/home/user1/Desktop/hiri_1.2.1.0# ./hiri.sh

The Hiri window appears on your screen. Enter your e-mail address and click on Next Step

You' ll be asked to enter your password for the account, so enter it and click Next Step.

Your mail account has been integrated with Hiri

You can view and access all your email folders in Hiri.

Click on the Compose new mail icon present on the top left corner in order to write a new mail.

In the bottom right corner, you' ll find the icon for creating and viewing Contacts.

If you want to configure your details, click on General settings. You can change your avatar and edit other details in it.

If you want to check out your subscription details, you can simply click on the Account option.

With this, the installation of Hiri eMail Client on Ubuntu 16.04 is complete.
