How to install FileZilla on Ubuntu
To install FileZilla on Ubuntu
FileZilla is an open-source and cross-platform FTP Client Application which allows us to upload or download files to FTP Server. It can be easily installed, and we have already covered the method to Install FileZilla on Debian in our previous article. Now, let us see about the installation of FileZilla on Ubuntu in this article.
Installing FileZilla
It is essential to add the repository in your system for installing FileZilla in your system. Use the following command for the same purpose.
root@linuxhelp1:~# add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa
All LTS packages have been moved here (for easier rebuilding):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa2
All packages in the repo are backported from (or based on) either Debian and/or Ubuntu Utopic repos.
-----------------------------------------------
THIS PPA MIGHT BREAK OTHER PACKAGES (it shouldn' t (since they' re backported with minimal changes), but someone recommended that I should note it anyways)
-----------------------------------------------
Debian/Ubuntu Versioning:
0:
-Built using existing Ubuntu/Debian packaging (check my changelog for more
information)
-Any MAJOR bugs should be sent to be me directly (don' t file bug report
with the developer (or Debian/Ubuntu))

FileZilla has been installed. You can open the application by using “ filezilla” command or by using the Ubuntu dash.
It was a simple installation, isn' t it? Working on FileZilla is as simple as its installation.
