To install Cinnamon Desktop on Fedora 23
Cinnamon desktop is best known as one of the two default desktops for Linux Mint. It is now available directly as part of Debian 8 and Fedora 22. Cinnamon will work with many other distros as well but not as compared to fedora & Debian. In this article we can see how to install in fedora system.
Update your system checking updates and installing them using YUM Command
Open a terminal, right clicking on your desktop and click on Open Terminal Here. Execute YUM Command by root user. Type ' su' command from terminal and update your system with below command.
[root@linuxhelp user1]# yum update
Yum command has been deprecated, redirecting to ' /usr/bin/dnf update' .
See ' man dnf' and ' man yum2dnf' for more information.
To transfer transaction metadata from yum to DNF, run:
' dnf install python-dnf-plugins-extras-migrate & & dnf-2 migrate'

To install Cinnamon Desktop
[root@linuxhelp user1]#yum -y install cinnamon
You can Log out from your current desktop.
Switch desktop in the login screen. Click session and select Cinnamon

Click on icon ^ in the task bar and go to Settings.
