To Download and Install FortiGate on VMware

Introduction:

FortiGate firewalls are purpose-built security processers that enable the industry's best threat protection and performance for SSL-encrypted traffic by providing granular visibility of applications, users, and IoT devices. These appliances are designed to identify issues quickly and intuitively. The below procedure explains the steps on how to download and install FortiGate on VMware.

Process:

Open FortiGate page and click register: SNAP1 Now, create an account: SNAP2 SNAP3 SNAP4

Login to Forticloud: SNAP5 Click download and select VM images: SNAP6 SNAP7 SNAP8 Now open the downloaded package: SNAP9 SNAP10 Install the package: SNAP11 SNAP12 SNAP13 Configure it in VMware: SNAP14 Then, login to terminal: SNAP15 SNAP16 In the terminal, configure the FortiGate by following the below procedure:

•	Config system interface
•	Edit port5
•	Set ip 192.168.7.239 255.255.255.0
•	Set allowaccess http
•	End
•	Config system admin
•	Edit admin
•	Set trusthost1 0.0.0.0/0
•	end

Then open in browser and type the Ip address SNAP17 Login to fortigate SNAP18 The dashboard page of FortiGate will be displayed SNAP19 With this, the installation of FortiGate on VM comes to an end.
