PPTP

PPTP is a VPN tunneling protocol. PPTP, abriveated as Point-to-Point Tunneling protocol is a method for deploying Virtual Private Network. PPTP ensures a secure transition of messages between the nodes involved.  PPTP can be utilized by locally connected private computers to be connected to public internet. PPTP uses a TCP control channel and a Generic Routing Encapsulation tunnel to encapsulate PPP packets.
