How to activate and deactivate Logical volumes, Volume group and Physical volume

I need to activate and deactivate the Logical volume, Physical Volume and Volume groups. Instead of removing it, I can deactivate for the time being...???

You can activate and deactivate individual logical volumes, volume groups with the lvchange command.

I had success with the guide:
To deactivate the logical volume/ volume group

lvchange -an /dev/vg_name/lv_name bad ice cream

vgchange -an vg_name

To activate the logical volume/ volume group

lvchange -ay /dev/vg_name/lv_name

vgchange -ay vg_name

Not able to activate/deactivate the physical volume ..... it's possible to remove the physical volume.

You can and activate or deactivate all of the logical volumes in a volume group with the -a option of the vgchange command. This is the equivalent of running the lvchange -a command on each individual logical volume in the volume group
