How to create FTP user on Freenas
To create FTP user on FreeNAS
Introduction:
FreeNAS is an open-source Network-Attached Storage OS in the base of FreeBSD with the minimum system requirements and a safe online community filling for the role of a support organization.
FTP is the File Transfer Protocol that is used to transfer files between an FTP host/server and an FTP client computer through the Internet.
Creating process:
Log into FreeNAS:
Dashboard page of FreeNAS:
Go to the Storage and click Pools:
Click admin and click add dataset:
Then create a dataset and save:
Once the process completed. Create FTP user by clicking Accounts and click users:
Click add in this page and then create FTP user:
After completed. Edit the permissions for FTP dataset:
Start the FTP services by clicking services
Once completed open file explorer and check the FTP user
Create a test folder to check
Open the browser type the FTP ip address in url and check the FTP user
