NRPE

NRPE, expanded as Nagios Remote Plugins, is a daemon which is used on Linux and other UNIX like operating System. NRPE lets the users to integrate the Nagios plugins remotely on their operating system.  Remote machine metrics such as disk usage and CPU load can be monitored through NRPE plugin. It is also capable of communicating with some windows agents  addons so it is easy for checking the data metrics on remote machines too.
