To install Wallpaper Manager on Ubuntu

Wallpaper Manager is a simple and lightweight application used for changing desktop wallpaper. The latest version available is Wallpaper Manager 2.0. This article explains about the installation of Wallpaper Manager on Ubuntu.

To install Wallpaper manager

The very first step to install the Wallpaper manager is to add the repository to the system. Do as follows.

root@localhost:/home/user1# add-apt-repository ppa:baitsart/wallpaper-manager
 Wallpaper Manager is a multifunctional application to manage your desktop background. This program uses native linux commands, so it is usable in all distributions

Once it is added, update the local repository index by invoking the following command.

Everything is now set for installing Wallpaper Manager. Use the following command for the same purpose.

Wallpaper Manager has been successfully installed, click on the search bar and type wallpaper. Select the Wallpaper Manager application to access it.
Search_wallpaper
You can see the wallpaper manager icon in the taskbar.

Choose your favorite images from All Images option.

You can pick a theme to download images related to it.
NAT_GEO_IMAGES
The image has been downloaded and set as the wallpaper. Use Next image option to change wallpaper to apply different wallpapers to the Desktop.

Installing and working with Wallpaper manager is quite simple, isn' t it? Not only it is a cool and fun tool to use, it is also compatible with several desktop environments such as Unity, Gnome Shell, Gnome Classic and Cinnamon. You can also make slideshow of wallpapers based on the categories or your favourite ones. Also, you can edit your wallpaper images by inverting colors, convert them to Black and white, write on the picture, Rotate them on clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, and also have them inverted. Enjoy using the Wallpaper Manager on your Ubuntu Machine.
