To install Tixati on Ubuntu 17.04

Tixati is simple yet powerful Bittorrent Client application for Ubuntu. Tixati is used for downloading torrent files like Utorrent. Tixati provides the integral chatrooms with strong encryption. The users are allowed to share lists of URL links which are then searchable across all channels and browsing the share list is also supported. It also supports streaming audio and video media. This tutorial covers the installation procedure of Tixati on Ubuntu 17.04.

Installation procedure

To start with the installation procedure, update the system by running the apt-get update command.

And then download the .deb package by executing the following wget command.

The target system is updated with the required repositories. Next install the gdebi installer by executing the following command and press y to continue with the installation.

The gdebi installer is installed in the system. Next install the tixati application using gdebi installer.

The application has been installed successfully in the system. To run the application in the system, type the application name in the Ubuntu dashboard and click on the icon to run the application.

The application is loading in the target system.

Once the application gets opened, the Tixati License Agreement appears on your screen as a small window. Agree to the terms and conditions and move to next page.

Set the initial configuration by setting the default location and TCP port for connections.

Now the Tixati application is running successfully in the system.
