To install scribus 1.5.4 on Linux Mint 18.3

Scribus is a freeware, cross-platform publishing program which is capable of giving a press-ready output and has new approaches to page design. Scribus is designed for layout, typesetting, and preparation of files for professional-quality image-setting equipment. It can also create animated and interactive PDF presentations and forms. Its uses include writing newspapers, brochures, newsletters, posters, and books. It is so simple to install Scribus 1.5.4 on Linux Mint 18.3 and this tutorial covers the ground on the same process.

Install Scribus

First, you need to add the essential repositories for the installation by making use of the following command.

linuxhelp ~ # add-apt-repository ppa:scribus/ppa
You are about to add the following PPA:
Packages from the Scribus friends
scribus: current 1.4.x branch
scribus-ng: current 1.5.x branch
scribus-trunk: whatever inside the current svn repository, built daily.
scribus-trunk is not updated anymore in 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr (and 14.10, 15.04 and 15.10) due to a too old Qt, please upgrade your system to a newer Ubuntu release (suggested: 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus).

And then update the Repo package with the help of the following command.
