How to install Evolution 3.28.1 on Ubuntu 18.04
Evolution is the default email and calendar application in openSUSE&rsquo s GNOME desktop, most notably Debian and Fedora. It supports many mail protocols such as IMAP, POP, SMTP and authenticated SMTP. Evolution is not just any ordinary email client, but a personal information management application that provides integrated mail, calendaring and address book functionality.

Apart from this, Evolution Email Client also has the following features.

Features
&bull Supported protocol, incoming POP, IMAP & outgoing SMTP
&bull Establish Secure network connections by enabling SSL, TLS and STARTTLS encryption.
&bull E-mail encryption with GPG and S/MIME
&bull E-mail filters.
&bull Spell-checking
&bull GNOME integration
&bull Easy to use search functionality
&bull Integrated groupware solution
&bull Spam tackling with SpamAssassin integration
&bull IMAP Subscriptions

Now we have to update the system repository using this following command


root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get update
Hit:1 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security InRelease
Hit:2 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic InRelease
Hit:3 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-updates InRelease
Hit:4 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-backports InRelease
Reading package lists... Done


Now we have to install Evolution application using this following command


root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get install evolution -y
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done


The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:


  apache2-bin apache2-data apache2-utils libapr1 libaprutil1 libaprutil1-dbd-sqlite3
  libaprutil1-ldap
Use ' sudo apt autoremove'  to remove them.

Setting up evolution-plugin-pstimport (3.28.1-2) ...
Setting up evolution-plugins (3.28.1-2) ...
Setting up evolution-plugin-bogofilter (3.28.1-2) ...
Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.27-3ubuntu1) ...

Now we have to open a Ubuntu menu and type Evolution on menu
