ps command

The ps command report the current process through the provided snapshots. The snapshots help the users for getting information about user id, CPU usage, command name, etc. Some of its suitable ways for providing reports are list, sort and format the running process. The command ps stand for Process Status. Here, output is updated every one second by default for refreshing the process status. In addition, it helps to obtain the PID of the process with the ps command. PID means process id, every process is assigned with process id to prints the current status of the process. It supports several Linux distributions.
