Subdomain

Subdomain also known as child domain is a domain on the Internet, which is a part of the major or primary domain in DNS hierarchy. It is a second website containing an unique content, but it does not contain a new domain name. It can be used as a service or a hostname, which identifies individual computers with different IP addresses. Subdomains are useful for the mobile versions of websites, blogs, stores and forums. The name of a subdomain looks like help.domain.com, forums.domain.com, and help2.domain.com. The users can be able to create subdomains in cPanel, and the functioning of those subdomains are completely different from the main domain.
