NTFS (New Technology File System) is the file system that is used for storing and retrieving files on a hard disk. NTFS is a file system that uses FUSE file system to help with portability. It superseded FAT and HPFS file system as it had improved performance, reliability and disk space. In Linux, it has both read and write functionality.
