MAC Address

MAC Address is a 48 or 64 bit address assigned for network devices. MAC address, explained as Media Access Address, is generally referred as hardware or physical address since it relates to network devices. They are generally assigned in hexadecimal notations for both 48 and 64 bit addresses. Though they are considered to be permanent address, they can be changed sometimes. MAC address is an essential part in internet communication because a user’s IP address is checked with their MAC address on the LAN when a user is connected to the internet.
