LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment)

LXDE stands for Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment and it is the fastest and lightweight desktop environment. The RAM and CPU usage is comparatively low when compared to other desktops. This desktop consumes less energy to perform task and the user interface is supported by GTK+ 2. It is programmed in C Language. The distributions like LXLE linux, Raspbian, Peppermint and knoppin uses LXDE as their default Desktop environment.
