Failed to set time: Automatic time synchronization is enabled

Question

Hello,When i am changing time in my centos machine,the following error has showed up"Failed to set time: Automatic time synchronization is enabled".What should be done in order to change the time.How to resolve this issue?

First check the status Of Timedatectl by running the following command

timedatectl status

Then Set the NTP value to zero

timedatectl set-ntp 0

Now change the time or date

timedatectl set-time "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS"

To Change the time Alone

timedatectl set-time "HH:MM:SS"

To Change The Date Alone

timedatectl set-time "YYYY-MM-DD"

Hence the Time has been adjusted/changed successfully.
