SELinux is security feature in Linux Kernel. Abbreviated as Security Enhanced Linux, SELinux is a Mandatory Access Control tool. It makes the server immune to attacks due misconfigurations and compromised daemons. It lets the server admins to define various permissions for all kinds of process. As a part of its strong security policy, SELinux restricts and instructs the server daemons about their actions on various files.In a nutshell, SELinux secures the user data, files, daemons, programs, network ports, sockets, and server from unauthorized access and exploitation.
