Firefox update from Mozilla Foundation patches 24 vulnerabilities

The Mozilla Foundation recently issued updates for its Firefox version 67 and version 60.7 of Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR), and in the process, it has patched 24 vulnerabilities among which two were critical.

The FireFox developers found the two critical flaws and addressed the issue. The first set of bugs, designated CVE-2019-9814, was found only in Firefox, while the second group, CVE-2018-9800, was discovered in both Firefox and Firefox ESR.

In its security update, the Mozilla Foundation stated, “Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code.”

In total, there are 21 bugs which were addressed by the Mozilla Foundation in which, 11 were rated high in severity, 6 were considered to be moderate, and 2 were low-rated threats.
