How to create virtual machine in Xenserver using XenCenter tool

To create virtual machine in Xenserver using XenCenter tool.

XenCenter is the GUI for XenServers. It is a front end tool that leds the user to configure new virtual machines and manage networks. The steps to create virtual machine in xenserver is explained in this tutorial.

First start the xenserver.

Open XenCenter tool.

Connect the server in XenCenter.

To Create VM

Select “ New Vm” in XenCenter tool.

The " New VM" wizard opened. Xenserver provides many OS templates. Here, we are selecting “ other install media” Option. Click “ next” to proceed further.

Enter the Virtual machine “ Name” and “ Description” . After that click “ Next” to continue.

Then select the installation media and click “ next” .

Select the home server and click “ Next”

Set VM ram memory size, CPU and press “ Next” .

To Configure storage for virtual machine.,Click “ Add” button and enter the virtual hard disk details. Then click “ Add” for adding virtual hard disk and finally click “ Next” .

The network configuration page opens. It shows virtual network interface. Click “ Next” .

Check all the configurations and click “ Create now” to create a VM.

Select “ First vm” in XenCenter.

Click console in VM menu and it displays Ubuntu boot menu page.

Thus we have successfully created a virtual machine in xenserver using XenCenter tool.
